ABOUT THE DOCTOR

Graduated in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona as a general practitioner, Dr. Jennifer Ortiz is trained in the speciality of Aesthetic Medicine at the Official College of Doctors of Barcelona, University of Barcelona, where she acquired the theoretical and practical knowledge of facial, body and hair aesthetic medicine, doing her internship under the guidance of Dr. Petra Vega. She also completed her Master's thesis on how to recognise and treat possible adverse effects in Aesthetic Medicine. Dr. Jennifer Ortiz did her internship with Dr. Petra Vega. Jennifer Ortiz did her internship at the Vall d'Hebron Hospital, where she became interested in the specialties that encompass the medical and aesthetic part of her profession, rotating through specialties such as dermatology, acquiring general knowledge of skin pathologies, plastic surgery, He rotated through specialities such as dermatology, acquiring general knowledge of skin pathologies, plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in the large burns unit of the hospital, as well as the speciality of Maxillofacial Surgery where he was able to witness different orthognathic surgeries, important not only in the functional but also aesthetic part of the patient, all of which has allowed him to have a more global vision of the patient when practising his profession as an aesthetic doctor today. During her last year of her degree, Dr. Jennifer Ortiz did an internship at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Canada, specialising in plastic surgery and dermatology. During her internship, Dr. Ortiz learned diagnostic and suturing skills in both specialties from plastic surgeon Dr. Charles Orfali. At the end of her studies, Dr. Jennifer Ortiz travelled to Beirut, Lebanon, to begin to deepen her knowledge of facial aesthetic medicine with her teacher, maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Nabil Fakih, where she goes every year to recycle her knowledge with the most avant-garde and safe treatments on the market. He then stayed with maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Blas García where he was able to broaden his knowledge of facial anatomy after days of observation in the operating theatre for different procedures. These rotations with different aesthetic doctors, surgeons and dermatologists, as well as having acquired the necessary experience having worked in the best aesthetic medicine clinics, have allowed Dr. Ortiz to have a global vision of the patient's aesthetics, being able to make a 360º diagnosis. Today, Dr. Jennifer Ortiz is fully dedicated to aesthetic medicine, and practices in Barcelona and Tenerife. Her passion for aesthetic medicine and global beauty, being in continuous training, as well as the satisfaction of her patients make Dr. Ortiz an exceptional professional to perform aesthetic medical treatments.
